Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using After the Argument or this website, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.

2. What the app is

After the Argument is an educational self-help tool for willing couples and individuals dealing with ordinary disagreements. It offers a structured cool-down, reflection, repair, planning, and progress-tracking workflow.

The app does not decide who is right, monitor a partner, guarantee reconciliation, diagnose a condition, provide professional therapy, or replace qualified medical, mental-health, legal, emergency, or domestic-violence services.

3. Safety boundary

You are responsible for deciding whether participation is free and safe. The app's safety question is a boundary, not an assessment or guarantee.

4. Eligibility and personal use

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these terms. The app is licensed for personal, non-commercial use under Apple's EULA. Do not use it to pressure, surveil, expose, shame, threaten, or manipulate another person.

5. Subscriptions and trials

• Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through your Apple Account.
• After the Argument Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription.
• An introductory trial may be available to eligible new yearly subscribers. Apple determines eligibility.
• Apple displays the final localized price, tax, trial, and renewal terms before confirmation.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel through Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Use Restore Purchases inside the app to recover eligible access on the same Apple Account.

Refund requests are handled under Apple's policies and processes.

6. Your data and device

Repair content is stored locally. You are responsible for access to your device, device backups, and any information you intentionally share. Deleting app data or the app can permanently remove local repair history. The app does not promise cloud recovery or cross-device sync in version 1.

7. Research and educational content

The app summarizes selected relationship and emotion-regulation research for practical use. Research findings have limits and do not predict an individual outcome. Source links are provided where practical. Do not treat app content as a personalized clinical recommendation.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or site, interfere with security, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer except where law permits it, violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights, or use the product in violation of applicable law.

9. Ownership

Tepesoft and its licensors retain rights in the app, site, design, text, code, brand, and original content. You retain responsibility for information you enter. Your App Store license does not transfer ownership of the software.

10. Availability and changes

We may improve, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update pricing, subscription benefits, these terms, or the Privacy Policy. Previously purchased access remains subject to Apple rules and the terms shown at purchase.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the app and site are provided "as is" and "as available." Tepesoft does not guarantee that a ritual will resolve a disagreement, reduce conflict, restore closeness, or be suitable for every relationship or situation.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tepesoft is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the app or site. Mandatory consumer rights and Apple's EULA remain unaffected.
