The moment most couples apps miss

One fight doesn't have to steal the week.

Trying to solve everything while either person is still overwhelmed often makes good intentions land badly. After the Argument slows the sequence down and gives both people equal space.

It does not decide who was right. It helps a willing couple move from activation to one useful next step.

Stop winning the argument. Start repairing the connection.

The 10-minute ritual

Cool down first. Come back better.

Give the next ten minutes to your relationship. Use one phone together, or prepare a repair by yourself.

  1. 01

    Check safety

If either person feels afraid, threatened, controlled, or physically unsafe, the joint ritual stops.

  2. 02

    Settle your body

A slow-exhale guide and activation check help you decide whether to continue or take a longer break.

  3. 03

Feel heard without starting it all over again.

Choose feelings, needs, ownership, and one wish without turning the screen into a verdict.

  4. 04

Reconnect without deciding who was right.

A privacy curtain gives each person uninterrupted space before answers appear together.

  5. 05

    Choose one repair

Make one gesture that fits this moment and one if-then plan for the next time the pattern starts.

  6. 06

    Learn from the return

Log when connection felt close to normal and watch recovery patterns change over time.

Progress without relationship grades

See whether you're repairing sooner, not just arguing less.

Track recovery time, same-day returns, activation change, recurring topics, and completed next-time plans. Argument count is context, never a score of how good your relationship is.

Make every argument cost less time together.

Repair grows in private.

Private by design

Relationship science, shaped for real arguments.

Repair answers and history are stored on your iPhone with complete file protection. There is no account, uploaded transcript, microphone recording, ad tracker, or AI analysis of your disagreement.

Apple and RevenueCat process purchase information. They do not receive your topics, feelings, reflections, next-time plans, or share-card content.

A clear boundary

The goal isn't no arguments. It's less damage, less distance.

Do not use a joint ritual when there is fear, coercion, stalking, threats, or physical violence. Move toward safety and contact local emergency services, a trusted person, or specialist support.

After the Argument is educational support for ordinary disagreements. It is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, or abuse assessment.

Questions before you begin

What couples usually want to know.

Do both people need the app?

No. Together mode uses one iPhone and a privacy curtain while each person reflects. Solo mode helps one person prepare a repair led by ownership.

Does the app listen to or analyze our fight?

No. It does not record audio, upload messages, or ask an AI to judge the disagreement. You choose structured answers, and those answers stay on the device.

Does a lower argument count always mean improvement?

No. It can also reflect avoidance or incomplete logging. The app treats argument count as context and emphasizes recovery, understanding, and follow-through.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Settings includes Delete all repair data. Deleting the app also removes its local data. Your Apple subscription is managed separately.

Is this couples therapy?

No. It is a focused educational ritual for ordinary disagreements. It does not diagnose, replace professional care, mediate abuse, or provide crisis support.
